A stunning vintage 1950s full skirt party dress in an eye popping shade of blue! The bodice is styled with a wide scoop neckline, and artfully constructed. There is a 3" wide "waistband" in front - the fullness for the bust is created using sunburst pleating down and to the center, ending underneath the faux knot just below the bosom, which also anchors the pleated cummerbund-style sash that inserts into the bodice side seams. The full skirt gathers into the waist, perfect for dancing, and being taffeta, has that wonderful swish when it moves. The dress is shown in some photos with a crinoline underneath the skirt - it is not included with purchase.
